A Story About a Blogger and his “Psycho-Ex-Wife”
The Today Show ran a story about the legal battle between the blogger and operator of the site thepsychoexwife.com. One note I saw here was this: In late 2007, Anthony Morelli started the blog, describing it as “the true account of a marriage, divorce, and subsequent (child) custody fight between a loving man, his terroristic ex-wife who we suspect suffers from Borderline Personality Disorder (at least from our armchair psychologist diagnosis), and the husband’s new partner.” Arm-chair psychologist diagnosis? I personally never really liked the site. What do you think? No related posts.

Closing the Poll on Binge Spending and Money Problems
Results not positive or effective for borderlines and money. I was astounded at the results of my latest non-scientific poll about borderlines and money issues. Here are the general results from the money and BPD poll: As you can see 85% of the nons and borderlines reported spending issues, even more than substance abuse, self-injury and suicide attempts. If we remove the “I don’t know” responses it jumps to more than 88%. No related posts.

Overcoming Chronic Resentment and the Abuse It Causes By Steven Stosny Created Aug 5 2011 – 7:26am Recovery from relationships that have suffered chronic resentment is long, complex, and fraught with setbacks, whether the couple breaks up or tries to repair the damage done to the union. Unlike anger, which is stimulated by discreet incidents or thoughts, chronic resentment is a general ego defense – the more fragile the ego, the more resentment required for defense. For those most in need, ego-defense is more important than learning, truth, and reason. Hence…

Ask Bon: How do I balance validating somebody’s feelings with protecting myself or my children from emotional abuse?
Q: How do I balance validating somebody’s feelings with protecting myself or my children from emotional abuse? A: This is an excellent question and one that I have grappled with for years. My wife’s behavior before I started down the path to effectiveness was off-the-charts and was affecting my children’s feelings of safety in our household. Numerous times I felt the only solution to protecting my children was to leave my wife and apply for full custody of our children. When my wife was “acting out” and/or in a rage around the children, I would take the kids to the library or to events around town. I worried that they…
