I didn't think I'd ever really be bothered at the thought of self-mutilation, but the idea of embedding something inside myself like that is horribly disturbing I can't imagine why anyone would do that... Anyways, I'm really annoyed at it being called a "trend," "fad," or a "wave." It's a real problem for society overall and it can a life-long struggle for the people who do it. Anyways, I’m really annoyed at it being called a “trend,” “fad,” or a “wave.” It’s a real problem for society overall and it can a life-long struggle for the people who do it.

This is such a down play of how wide spread this activity REALLY is: My neighbor is in his late 80's and remembers when he was 8 years old being 'taught' how to self asphyxiate by two older boys on a quiet country lane. One of my girlfriends Grandmothers told her when she was a teen they would put plastic over their heads to pass out: When I was 11 I was taught this 'game' at a public pool. I am now 45. When my son Gabriel was 13, a older boy taught him this game which killed him on May 6, 2005. Education and factual information is paramount in preventing as many deaths as we can. Ignorance is not bliss.
